I just want to share this… The Samaritan Center is an absolutely amazing organization that has been doing so many good things for years. A few months ago they invited me to re-do their website so multiple volunteers could easily manage updates.
Anyway, not too long ago they began a project: School Supply and Uniform Program. They endeavored to provide 3 school uniforms, shoes and school supplies to the children of families who need assistance in order to send their children to school.
I have to say that watching this project unfold was beyond inspiring. Everyone did as much as they could and it is so wonderful to work with the people of SamCen, who really embrace everyone and their efforts.
Long story short: This year they raised $14,000.00!
My jaw dropped when I heard the final number. The generosity of all the people who contributed and the hard work of the volunteers has truly done a world of good to the children and their families.
